I told you Gangnam Style had taken over the house....

Well another day and another parody of Gangnam Style.  I will share these two, not only because the kids asked me to but also because they are Aussie parodies of the song.

My love of this song hasn't grown but I will always sit down to watch a parody, they always give me a chuckle.

The first is Melbourne Style by the Nova Guys(radio stataion here in Australia) here in Melbourne.....

The second is a flash mob doing the dance, this one was obviously an organised one but it was quite good

And lastly is Fitzy and Wippa (also from Nova a radio station here in Australia) doing Aussie Battler Style

I hope you enjoy them :)......and this is the last you will hear of Gangnam Style on my blog lol.

My child is obsessed with Psy and Gangnam Style...

Just in case you haven't heard the song, here is the video clip.......

This song is seriously driving me nuts at the moment lol.  You can guarantee if I get in the car, its on.  If I turn the radio on at home, its on.  Then Mr10 comes home from school and has his computer time and it echoes throughout the house as he attempts to learn the song and the dance,,,sshhhheeeeessshhhh someone save me!!!!!

Oh Happy Days,,,,,it's impossible not to smile watching this :)

I love Whoopie and I think the movies "Sister Act 1 & 2" are classics.  I'm looking forward to the weekend and plan to just chill out and do very little housework (that's the plan at least lol).  Tomorrow we are going for a bike ride with the boys along our favourite Little Para River trail.

Have a great weekend everyone

My Stats Tell Me.....

.....that I have had visitors from far and wide over the last week.

Some times it still amazes me how the internet links people together.  To think that my little ramblings have been read in all these far off countries is quite astounding in a way lol.

My little Stats counter thingie (geez I'm just so technical aren't I lol), shows that this week I have had visitors from:
Australia
USA
New Zealand
Malaysia
Russia
United Kingdom
Iran
France
Germany and
India

I want to say  a friendly aussie "Hi" to all the people that have popped in.  Because I am a naturally inquisitive (aka "nosey") person lol, please say hi to me in a comment and share your blog with me if you have one.  I love finding new blogs to read.  You see, in my house I have kids that are Xbox addicts and a hubby that loves his fair share of computer games.  While I don't mind playing the occasional game, I would much rather read blogs and learn new things in the process.  I love to find different ways of doing things, new recipes, craft ideas, all sorts of things.
So if you pop in, please take an extra minute and just say a little hello.  I promise to return the favour :-)

I thought I would share with you a few songs from an Australian Aboriginal band which made it big a number of years ago.  The band is "Yothu Yindi".  Their music spoke volumes to me and inspired me to learn more about Aboriginal culture.  While today, I have to admit I still don't know all that much, I feel that this band made Australia in particular, stand up and take notice of what had happened to the indigenous people of this country.  The first song is called Treaty and while it holds a strong political message, it is a song which has a fantastic beat and I have listened to many, many times.
This next song is World Turning Right.  This would have to be my favourite song from Yothu Yindi.  It always made me feel happy.

And finally, here is "Tribal Voice", this one talks about indigenous people all over the world.  Fantastic Song.

I hope you enjoy the music.

And please don't forget to say hi if you can :-) I would love to "meet" you.

Geez this week has flown by!!!!

I'm not sure if it is because we had a public holiday on Monday or what it is this week, but it has simply flown by.  I can't believe it is the weekend again tomorrow.

This weekend, or at least tonight and tomorrow are going to be jam packed for me and I am feeling a little stressed about how I am going to fit things in.

Tonight is soccer night and also the night that my stepkids come over for the weekend.  Tonight also sees my eldest boy going to work and then to a work function which we will have to take him to and pick him up from, no doubt it will be a late pick up :-(  Tonight I also have to bake cakes for the birthday dinner we are having for the two Mr10's of the house.  It is our family tradition to celebrate with their "fancy" birthday cake and have a pizza/party pie etc dinner on the weekend closest to the kids birthdays when we have the entire gang here.  This weekend is the "chosen" weekend, with both of the Mr10's of the house having birthdays either last week or next week.

So tonight I will be baking the cakes ready for the decorating stage tomorrow.  Normally I would just bake them tomorrow morning and then spend the afternoon decorating but tomorrow morning we are driving up to see my brother who is moving interstate next week.  He lives about 90 minutes from here up in the Adelaide Hills.  A beautiful spot at this time of the year when all the rolling hills around are so nice and green.  It will be sad to see them go.  Although I don't see him often it is nice to know that he is there if I need him, now he won't be so convenient as it will now be a 14 hour drive to see him.  But he is following his dream so I am happy for them.

So tomorrow morning we will head off at about 9.00, go up and spend a couple of hours visiting them and then head back home, probably grabbing some take away for lunch and then home to decorate the cakes.  Normally I only decorate one cake as separate the birthday celebrations but this year due to illness we have had to celebrate both boy's birthday's together.

I will be making a haunted house cake for my Mr10 and a Thomas the Tank cake for Mr10with Autism (he loves Thomas the Tank!).  I will share with you next week the results of my "creating" lol.

And here is a little music to kick off the weekend with....

OK I know its old but I have always had  a "thing" for John Travolta lol.

Some weekend music again.......Our Wedding Song - Ronan Keating - This I Promise You

It's Friday and once again I'd like to share one of my favourite songs.  I adore this song, Hubby and I had it as our wedding waltz and it is very special to me.  I think it speaks volumes.  Enjoy!!!

I'm in a Kasey Chambers kind of mood this week.....Rattlin Bones - I love this song

As I said above, I absolutely love this song.  Kasey Chambers music is my housework music for when I need a lift, cuz I sing along with her all the time.  Singing makes me happy (even if I have a shocking singing voice lol)......Enjoy it with me......
